It is in Apple’s DNA that technology alone is not enough. It’s technology married with liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields us the results that make our hearts sing.
-Steve Jobs
The quote above is the reason why I love using Apple products. I believe that Apple has learnt and understood how to add a human touch to its technology and make it user-friendly for people to use it.
On my eighth birthday, my father bought for me an iPod Nano as a gift. He taught me how to add music from iTunes to your iPod. I used to listen to it for hours and was mesmerised how such a tiny device could hold about 500 songs.

My first Apple product, the original iPod Nano
A couple of years later, in 2007, the iPhone was announced. I remember visiting an uncle's house and he showed me a device that would soon be the best selling product ever in history. I remembered sliding the touchscreen to unlock the phone and it blew my mind away.

The original iPhone, which would eventually be the best selling product of all time
As you can tell by now, I am an Apple geek, and I have no shame in admitting that. It is to the point I have family members calling me for help to set up their iPhones and iPads. I even stay up several nights a year to watch Apple unveiling their latest and greatest products live in Cupertino, California from my MacBook.

This is me at the Apple Retail Store along Orchard Road three days after it opened. You can't call yourself an Apple Geek unless you have taken a photo of yourself under a giant glowing Apple Logo!
Fast forward to 2019, there are many different smartphones brands in the market, and I have to admit that some Android phones have better features like a better camera, more memory or a brighter display. Call me delusional, but I don't think that I will be switching over to Android anytime soon. I think the number one reason, other than my loyalty towards Apple, is the user interface of Android. Even though there are multiple widgets that you can add on the home screen of any Android phone, I feel that they are not as fluid and easy to use as iOS, Apple's user interface.
In conclusion, a company that started out with two friends in a garage ending up as one of the most valuable companies not only in the tech industry but the world is no small feat. Apple's never-ending innovation and perfection of its products is something that I will always value as a customer.
